ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is one of the life-threatening, time-sensitive emergency in cardiology, that must be diagnosed and treated appropriately. Recent advances in the management of STEMI have shown that prompt treatment can save lives and restore normal cardiac function.

Keeping in view the benefits of revascularization therapy in patients with STEMI, Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in association with the Physician Research Foundation (PRF) wing of the Association of Physicians of India welcomes you to participate in a certification course entitled “Heart Attack Management Center Certification”.

Objective

We aim to upgrade the skills of physicians and improve the quality of acute STEMI care by dramatically decreasing the time from symptom onset to hospital arrival and subsequent receipt of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).

Course modules

• Module 1: ECG in acute chest pain
• Module 2: Medical management of STEMI
• Module 3: Thrombolysis, PCI and Pharmaco-invasive strategies
• Module 4: Post MI management (complications and long-term)

The duration of each module will be of 90 minutes (30 minutes interactive session between the cardiologists and the participating physicians). On completion of the course, the participating doctors will be given a certificate of training in the management of STEMI.
